It really depends on how you implement the AJAX.

When a search engine bot crawls your site, for e.g. GoogleBot, it only sees the structure of the site, ignoring all Javascript most of the time – I know Google is probably at this moment implementing a way to crawl AJAX generated data, but for now if you create a site, try and layer the AJAX code over the structure.

When using AJAX in general it is a good idea to make your site fall back gracefully when javascript is disabled.

Any good PHP programmer should be able to do what they need to do. Drupal, and nearly all other open source CMS systems are just very well coded php. Will “drupal programmers” have a problem debugging? All depends on what they know and how they go about “debugging”. Even Drupal has to issue updates to “correct” issues.

Be careful what you “find online” there are those who “think they know” and write bad code because they don’t think through security issues and the entire process. There are those who do know and still make mistakes. There are also those who write codes so they have back doors to your system. I am not trying to make you paranoid but you do need to be educated to the issues of ANY php code. Done correctly active coding makes a great website, done wrong, you have just added to the webs cloud of crackers / spammers etc.!

In terms of Google weighting, use the following scale:
1) Domain
2) Url(the rest of the url string)
3) Page title
4) Occurrences in the page that Google doesn’t think seem spammy

And then whats normally beyond your control:
Links from other reputable sites to your page(s)

Also, it makes far more logical sense to separate applications by subdomain by way of the webserver. Since you can have separate DNS entries for subdomains it is also important if you ever need to scale.

If you are using static html pages then you don’t actually have an application, and what you are doing is not important enough for you to concern yourself with this.

Think of it like real estate. The server is the house, the stuff inside is the content, and the land is the domain name. What if you really wanted to live on 34 Hill Road, but there’s an abandoned house. In the world of the internet, if somebody abandons their house and stops paying for it, they immediately get kicked off so people who actually need it can use it. Otherwise there’d be people who buy a domain name and then never use it just so nobody else could use it.

Well… to start with, put some relevant text on the page. You front page doesn’t even tell what the heck you business is, and there’s almost no text. Web crawlers can’t read images or video, so they can create search indexes based on images and video. You have almost no text relevant to the content of your site on your front page, so a lot of crawlers probably don’t even know what to do with it.

An XML sitemap wouldn’t hurt, either.

The Validation test is meant to ensure that websites are being coded with web standards in mind. When a page does not validate, it would kick the browser into a quirks mode where the page isn’t displayed as intended. Pages are validated for usability (for example, surfers using screen readers) also.

These web errors can affect the SEO because robots crawling the pages may have trouble crawling the entire site if the page is full of errors. This may lead to partial or incomplete indexing of your site.

Errors should be minded when maintaining the website, though the reality is that only less than 1% of the internet passes a validation test. Instead of making your webmaster fix all the errors at once, try a gradual approach to a error free website.

Be reasonable in your goal. You are not going to get to the top of really competitive search terms like like “lawyer”, etc. Pick a reasonable niche.

Make your site worth visiting. Post unique and interesting content.

Follow general SEO tactics – meta descriptions, keyword density, etc for the site itself

Work on back links – signatures in forum posts, find other relevant sites to post your link to

The 3 biggest factors, in my experience are: 1. quality of the content, 2. quality of the inbound links to the site, 3. content being kept up to date.

I can’t tell you from first hand experience but this is what I think.
for your site to really be useful and competitive it needs to be updated at the time of query, that is everytime anyone asks for a price and items. I think this is important because of the changes that prices undergo almost in a daily basis. I have seen prices change many times in a day.

I am going to guess by SEO you mean search engine optimizer.

Don’t use Java, I think an SEO will hate that even more.

You should look into GeoIP ( http://www.maxmind.com/app/ip-location ) . If your site is using PHP I know it is easy to implement and works great without any effect to the end user. I don’t know how it would effect search engines though.

It is rubbish.

Search engines are smart enough to distinguish between repeated menus / other boilerplate and actual content.

This hides content away in a text file and then inserts it with JavaScript which makes it invisible to anything that doesn’t parse Javascript – which includes real people’s browsers and search engines. So any content that is included (including links to other pages on the site) won’t be seen, indexed or followed.

Client side templating isn’t a new idea, but there are reasons why practically nobody uses it.

MemphisLiquidation.com is number 3 in my results for Memphis Liquidation, although MemphisLiquidator does not show up. But, in the search for Liquidator, a company called Markwell & Co., which I assume is you, does show up for the google maps listing.

MemphisLiquidator.com does not show in serps, which means it is not yet included in the Google search index – site was only registered Aug 4/2010. Give it some time, and it will show, probably any day now.

Assuming you .cgi pages have HTML output:

Make sure that that output has valid contents; contents first, forms next, menus last (HTML source-ordered code)

SEO is the same whether you use plain HTML or generated HTML.

Do make sure web crawlers get the same results as human visitors; search engines don’t take to kindly to generated content that is based on visitor type.

When it comes to the benefit of SEO and links structure there is no difference having it with the index page or not, it’s better to have shorter url’s that contain the appropriate keywords.

www.stie.com/keyword is better the www.site.com/abc/keyword

What is the best skill i can learn and provide as a service online to make about $ 1k monthly, i have nothing doin

I have nothing doing, but wasting time online, and I would love to stop living off someone and earn for myself, about $ 1k monthly. I’m pretty dedicated, what skill can i easily learn within few weeks to achieve this? Photo editing? Coding? SEO? what?

Unless you are expert and have serious qualifications NOBODY legitimate will hire you on line. With your attitude and obvious lack of understanding you will not learn those skills in a short time. Coding takes years to get qualified, so does photo editing. SEO requires years of experience as well. you are also obviously NOT dedicated or you would already have got up and gone out to find real training or work. The only on line work you will get without the qualifications and experience will be with the scam sites. You would need to work all day every day with those to earn as much in a week as going out one day a week to a part time real job. Stop being lazy and grow up. you will NEVER earn that much a month till you prove yourself.

This auto follow Twitter trick (try saying that 5 times in a row) can be pretty useful if you find yourself managing a Twitter account for a public figure, company or celebrity. Automatically following people who follow you will save you a ton of time and allow your Friends list to basically build itself.

In this tutorial we will be using an awesome service called SocialOomph.com. Let’s begin.

Requirements:

Twitter account (free; http://twitter.com)
~10-20 minutes of free time
SocialOomph account (free; http://socialoomph.com)

01) Douche Test

Do you consider yourself a social media marketing guru because you hang out on Facebook and Twitter all day? Is your sole goal on Twitter to gain followers? Are you a douche bag? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then please leave this page now. So called social media experts are the cancer of Twitter. The information in this Auto Follow tutorial should not be used to spread fake guru Twitter cancer.

02) Configure Your Twitter Account

03) Type In Your Email Address

Type in your email address and save your settings.

04) Enable “New Follower Emails” (optional)

Want to know when you get a surge in followers? Click on the Notices tab. Make sure the New Follower Emails option is turned on. You will now get an email when someone new follows you on Twitter. Click Save.

05) Sign up for SocialOomph.com

Go to http://www.socialoomph.com and sign up for an account. Don’t worry. It’s free you cheap wad. Scroll down their homepage until you see a “Register” button and click on it. You will have to fill out some basic info such as username, email, password, etc.

06) Sign in to socialoomph.com

After you’ve successfully registered with socialoomph.com, you need to sign in.

07) Link Your Twitter Account to Your SocialOomph.com Account

Click on the Accounts tab. Then click on the Add Twitter Account button.

SocialOomph.com will now ask you some information about your Twitter account. You must know the following in order to fill out this screen properly.

Twitter username
Twitter password
email address used when signing up for Twitter

08) Automated Welcomes?

You can also send an automated welcome greeting to new Twitter followers or even post a public welcome Tweet in your timeline. We’d advise against both. Automated generic messages smell like the inside of a Tauntaun and scream “Hi I’m abusing Twitter to promote my lame company/product. Want some Tweet Spam!!!”

Not the way you want to welcome a new Twitter follower.

09) Enable Auto Follow Option

Towards the bottom of the screen, you’ll see 2 checkboxes: Auto Follow and @Replies Digest. Considering that you are reading this tutorial in the first place, you probably want to turn on the Auto Follow option.

We also recommend turning on @Replies Digest and setting it for once a day. This will send you an email with any replies from your followers. If you are managing a corporate or public figure’s Twitter account, then it’s a good idea to see what people are saying about your client anyway.

Click Save.

10) That’s It!

Let’s test it out. Call a friend with a Twitter account. You should both unfollow each other. Ask your friend to re-follow you. After a few moments, your auto follow system should kick in and automatically follow you again. To see if you are both following each other, go to Twitter Karma and take a look. If you see a mutual follow icon, then it worked!!
